The Durango Creative District became certified in December 2019 by Colorado Creative Industries. It is because of the high level of public participation that we were able to fulfill this community goal. Our mission is to unite, celebrate and expand the local creative economy.

Donations will help the DCD continue to implement public benefit projects, seek grants for our community and local creative institutions in partnership with the City of Durango, initiate and maintain a vibrant physical Creative District, manage our website and future Directory for creatives to list their goods/services, and execute other programs outlined in our Strategic Plan.

We're excited to announce the launch of the Creative Directory, where local creatives in the SW Colorado area can list their goods and services. We consider "creatives" as people who makes or produces locally, whether by hand or in the mind!
