Located at the base of the San Juan Mountains, our picturesque downtown of Durango, Colorado is lined with art galleries and alternative art spaces. From contemporary to western to Native American, Durango has a strong and eclectic presence of art from local, regional and internationally recognized artists. The Durango Art Galleries host the Fall Gallery Walk annually the third Friday evening in September. Visitors are welcome to stroll downtown galleries and meet artists, purchase art and jewelry, listen to music and enjoy an evening supporting the local gallery district.
